Sparks Fly as Christie Brinkley Divorce Trial Opens

Christie Brinkley Divorce Trial Opens-- And The Dirt Is Dished

Christie Brinkley's divorce battle with cheating hubby Peter Cook kicked off yesterday-- and right away, sparks were flying, he was crying, and we expect more to come.

In opening statements, the model's lawyer (Robert Stephan Cohen) labeled her estranged husband as a chronic philanderer who spend $3,000 a month on Internet porn.

Meanwhile, his lawyer described Brinkley as a woman so consumed with anger that she is turning their children against him.

Brinkley's lawyer called Peter Cook as the first witness in the case. Under questioning in a Long Island courtroom, Cook testified about the affair he had with his then-teenage assistant, Diana Bianchi, who has been subpoenaed to testify in the case. The affair lasted "less than a year."

Cook has admitted paying Bianchi to keep quiet about the relationship. He said in court that he began leaving money for Bianchi shortly after their affair started in 2005. In one instance, the architect left cash under a rock outside his office and another time behind a small painting called "Zeus" inside his office.

Cook also admitted sending an email to Miss Bianchi that was submitted as evidence. The email read in part, "I don't know – you've put me under your spell. You've never asked me but I left you money ... I want to see you again."

In another email Cook admitted to sending in June 2006, he asked Miss Bianchi to lie to cover up the affair. He was emotional on the stand, at one point breaking down in tears during cross-examination by his attorney.

Later in the day, Bianchi testified that Cook had given her $15,000 for a down payment on a new Nissan Maxima and said they had sex "less than 10 times."

Alexa Ray Joel, the daughter of Christie and her ex-husband Billy Joel, testified as well. She described an incident regarding a water leak, saying Cook stormed into the bathroom while she was taking a shower and yelled at her to get downstairs to "clean this mess."

She claimed that she was not given a chance to get dressed before Cook forced her to go downstairs, and that he pushed her head into the leaked water and forced her to clean it up while she was naked.

Rachel, Monica, Chandler & "Friends" Hitting The Big Screen?

London's MailOnline has this doozy of a rumor-- that the highly anticipated film production of "Friends", the classic NBC TV series, has finally been given the go-ahead.

The tabloid site claims cast members Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Matthew Perry, Matt LeBlanc, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer will reprise their roles for a big-screen adaptation 'within the next 18 months'.

Insiders claim the actors have been inspired by the recent success of "Sex And The City: The Movie".

'Timing and the script are really important, but now that Courteney and Jen both have production companies, they can potentially get very involved in those decisions.'

Shannen Doherty In Talks To Reprise Her '90210' Role

Shannen Doherty is in talks to return to her role in the "Beverly Hills, 90210" for the upcoming spin-off show.
Doherty starred on the original "Beverly Hills, 90210" from 1990-1994, before she was let go from the show after a series of onset clashes.

Should she agree to update her role, Doherty will join former "90210" castmates Jennie Garth and Tori Spelling, who have already signed on to reprise their earlier characters for the CW series.

PAULA'S EX AS 'THE BACHELOR'

Paula Abdul's ex-boyfriend is reportedly in talks to become ABC's next "Bachelor."

Paul broke up with J.T. Torregiani last month. The 33 year-old hunk is a nightclub owner and partner in The Dolce Group, a restaurant investors group.

People magazine reports that Torregiani "was asked [to be the 'Bachelor'] a couple of years ago, but he got together with Paula so he didn't do it."

He is now reconsidering being on the show because "he wants to settle down, have kids, have a family".
