MCCAIN ON THIS WEEKEND`S `SNL`
Sen. John McCain will visit "Saturday Night Live" this weekend.
The show will be hosted by "The Office" star Steve Carell (who's also starring in the upcoming "Get Smart" movie).
No details were given about the sketch in which McCain is scheduled to appear in.
(This won't be McCain's first time on "SNL." The senator actually hosted the show back in October 2002.)
Britney Has Not Yet Perfected The Skill of Driving
Britney Spears had another driving issue yesterday-- she rear-ended someone's car on Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills.
She was driving her white Mercedes-Benz SL65, when she "tapped the other car in front of her," (a red Ford Explorer). A witness said, "I think she was just distracted".
Brit's bodyguard handed what looked like a business card to the driver of the Explorer, who then followed Britney back to her gated community in Studio City, CA, to exchange information. Police were not called to the scene.
Britney Places #19 On Maxim's Hot 100
Britney Spears has landed a spot on Maxim's 2008 Hot 100 this year, coming in at number 19. A Maxim editor says, "...[Britney] still oozes genuine sexiness, and if anyone can make a comeback, it's her".
Britney didn't make the cut last year at all.
There are a few surprises on the list — the not-so "Ugly" America Ferrera comes in at No. 84, Emma Watson makes her debut at No. 94, tattooed Kat Von D is No. 62 and Meg from "Family Guy" (aka Mila Kunis) comes in at No. 81.
No word yet, on # 1.
Halle Berry engaged?
While we can't confirm this--
Word has it Halle Berry and baby-daddy Gabriel Aubry are engaged. The Canadian model is said to have proposed to Halle, and given her a ring which first belonged to his grandmother.
A source close the couple tells tabloids: "Gabriel felt the time was right to propose. He gave her the family heirloom because he wanted to show her how much she means to him, and how she will be accepted into the Aubry family. The ring belonged to Gabriel's grandmother - it was her engagement ring."
Halle was first seen wearing a diamond ring on her engagement finger at the Revlon Walk/Run for Women in Los Angeles over the weekend. The 41-year-old actress has also been wearing a necklace bearing the letter 'N' for Nahla, for her one-month-old daughter (Nahla Ariela).

Mariah Carey Talks Nick Cannon and Wedding On "Ellen"
Mariah Carey appeared on "Ellen" to talk about her recent wedding to Nick Cannon. She said they used a video shoot as camouflage for bringing friends out to the Bahamas for the beachside ceremony, and noted that very few people were invited.
Next up for the couple? Kids!
Mariah said, "I always said… if I found the right person who I felt would be on the same page as me in term of raising kids and having the same belief system, [we'd have kids]".
