Paris Hilton's New Rock– from Benji Madden

Paris_Hilton showed up to talk about her new hair extension line with Sally Beauty Supply wearing a two-banded diamond ring on that finger.
She was asked if it was an engagement ring from boyfriend Benji Madden, and Hilton said, "No, it's just a present. He's sweet."

But they have already discussed marriage. Paris said, "We want to stay together forever. I wouldn't do a Vegas [wedding]. I don't know where or when but I do want it to be romantic."

Bachelor Andy Baldwin and Marla Maples Call It Quits

Former "Bachelor" Andy Baldwin and his girlfriend Marla Maples have called it quits. He recently moved to Washington, D.C. to take a job as an advocate for Navy Medicine. And he says it put a strain on their relationship.

Baldwin he tells Us magazine. "The big move coupled with the long distance relationship wasn't working for us so I decided we were better off as friends."

He told the Washington Post. "We were friends, it got romantic for a little while, but we're just friends".

Alec Baldwin-- Politician?

Now that actor Alec Baldwin is 50 years old, he might run for political office. Baldwin tells "60 Minutes" this Sunday night,

"There's other things I want to do [besides acting]. I mean, in a matter of weeks, I'm going to be 50. There’s no age limit on running for office, to a degree. [It is] something I might do one day".

Baldwin says he is ready for the public scrutiny. He's learned a lesson about what he says and how it can affect others in the nasty divorce-custody battle with his ex-wife, Kim Basinger.

You'll recall, he once left an embarrassing voicemail for his daughter, in which he calls her a "thoughtless little pig."

Baldwin says, "If you go through the things I have gone through with the media like this thing with my daughter, there’s only one thing that comes to mind initially: that is how my daughter must have felt to have this played out in public.

"The second thing I realize is: you can pretty much bet all you own that I would never leave another voicemail message for my daughter that wasn’t just like something out of a Rogers and Hammerstein score."
